Review by hotel critic
As a marathon runner and travel enthusiast passionate about boutique hotels, my recent stay at Mazaraki Guesthouse for New Year was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled amidst lush greenery, this picturesque retreat offers stunning views from its elevated position above Mystras, making it an ideal base for exploration, particularly to the fascinating archaeological site just minutes away. The accommodations are both spacious and beautifully decorated, creating a cozy sanctuary to unwind after a day of sightseeing or running. What truly stood out was the room service, which seamlessly delivered fantastic homemade breakfasts that featured local ingredients, allowing us to savor the flavors of the Peloponnese each morning without having to leave our lovely suite. The staff's warm hospitality deserves commendation as well; their genuine care and attention to detail made us feel like valued guests rather than just patrons. Coupled with the inviting wine bar offering a stellar selection of regional wines, it was the perfect spot to relax and take in the mesmerizing landscape, a fitting end to our day of exploration. I highly recommend Mazaraki for those seeking both comfort and a connection to the area's rich history while enjoying a unique blend of modern amenities.
